Who's ready for a mushy gushy love post!?

WARNING: Contents of this blog may be extremely mushy and girly. Read at your own risk. So, for about a week and a half now i've been up at Jenness. Getting used to a new position is always tough, and this past week as been no exception. But overall, I've had a really good time getting to know the summer staff, hanging out with old friends, and of course being near my hunny. I've tried to be really good about the whole "not being attached at the hip" thing. The first week I was here it was a bit more difficult, as we didn't know if I would be staying just the week or for the summer. But once we knew I was staying, we haven't spent quite so much time together. I do miss hanging out for hours at night, but in the long run its better this way I think. We got to spend all day Sunday together. How I savored that time, just being with him and reading while he took a nap, watching a movie, making dinner, and just lounging around. I simply cannot wait to make this...

Midnight Musings

So...I've been feeling discontent lately, and its hard to talk it out with people. A friend and I were chatting about our old blogging days today, so i figured i'd give this a shot again. I'm sick and tired of not having a home. Sure I have a bed...for now. And a dresser...in the closet...that is hard to get into and even harder to see what i'm grabbing out. There's really not closet space so...most of my clothes are still in boxes on the back patio. Oh yeah, I need to sort through those. Mom has boxes out there of stuff they took out of my room after I left for college. I need to sort through it and figure out what i'm going to keep and what i'm going to toss. All my wedding supplies are in a little pile in the living room. A lot of my other things like books/DVDs and shoes are shoved in a corner behind the love seat. If I want to talk to Michael at night I have to go sit in the garage. I feel like I can't stay out late because Mom won't sleep well ...

Quotes from Severus Snape

"Have you ever considered that you ask too much, that you take too much for granted? Has it ever crossed your brilliant mind that I don't want to do this anymore?" I was thinking about this quote earlier...feeling pressured from all sides, including God. And I realized I was thinking something similar to this quote. Recently I've been thinking about how God requires things of us as Christians: To pray, to read our Bibles, to fellowship, to evangelize, and to disciple. And sometimes I just want to ask God that quote above. But then I realize and am comforted by the fact that as He asks us to do these things, He equips us to do them. All we have to do is make sure we're utilizing the gifts He's given us. So...that's my brilliant thought of the day. Cheerio.
